IMPORTANT : pkpgcounter v1.83 is out
This news item announces the availability of pkpgcounter v1.83
IMPORTANT BUG FIXED :
A major bug was introduced in the release of pkpgcounter v1.82, which made files in the ESC/P2, TIFF, DVI, OpenDocument and ZjStream formats be detected as being PCL3/4/5 instead. This bug is now fixed in pkpgcounter v1.83.
Mitigation factors :
- Files in the PostScript, PCLXL, PDF and PCL3/4/5 formats continued to be correctly detected though, so many people won't notice any problem.
- People who use pkpgcounter v1.81 or earlier are not impacted.
Solution :
- Upgrade to pkpgcounter v1.83 which is now available for download from the usual place.
